Your days on the salt flats are limited each year and we want them to fully represent your angling pursuits. Ambergris Caye provides hunting flats that both the beginner or expert salt angler can enjoy. Schools of Bonefish averaging 2 – 6 lbs that readily take a size 8 Christmas Island Special. The lone and bigger Bonefish can be found in super skinny water requiring a perfect presentation from a weed guarded mantis shrimp pattern. These same shrimp patterns in a size 4 stripped fast will get your heart racing when you see permit following faster than you can strip. We love our Tarpon fishery. From the flats to the mangroves, Tarpon can be found all year from 20 to 60 lbs. When the migratory Tarpon come in mid-May, the population doubles, making this light tackle giant even more possible. “Bow to the King,” and let the SLAM be yours!

Balance – Like other fly fishing options, we have the standard 6 night / 5 day packages available for you to chase these fish and hit it hard. Located on the Great Belize Barrier Reef with warm Caribbean Ocean waters, the Barrier Reef is the second largest reef system in the world. Marine life abounds and there are several activities to investigate these amazing creatures of the sea. Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle boards are available, as well and our tour operator partners who can get you snorkeling and diving if you want to include this in your stay. We partner with Pelican Reef Villas, Athens Gate and others to ensure our guests have the type of lodging and location that best fits fly fishing desires, accommodation requests and budget. If you want your small group to be catered to, in your quarters, we can arrange that. However, San Pedro is a small but growing town with some great island culture, activities and people. You’ll get to experience the ‘local feel’ and wonderful people after landing your catch!
