Your Trip, Your Way
At Reel Belize, we understand that no two dream trips are alike. Your time on the salt flats is valuable—and we’re here to make it unforgettable.
We’ll start by learning:
• What species you’d like to chase
• How long you’ll stay in San Pedro
• Whether others in your group have interests beyond fly fishing
Bringing family or friends who don’t fish? No problem. We’ll offer personalized recommendations so everyone has a great time. Then we’ll build your custom fly fishing package from there.
Meet Lori-Ann Murphy
Fly fishing pioneer Lori-Ann Murphy founded Reel Belize after falling in love with San Pedro in 2009. With decades of experience—from casting competitions to guiding—she’s dedicated to sharing her knowledge with the local guide community.
Lori-Ann introduced new casting techniques and brought the first Fly Fishers International (FFI) instructor to San Pedro, helping foster a tradition of skill and professionalism among Belizean guides.
Today, Reel Belize operates as a licensed Belize Tour Operator, offering handcrafted trips designed by you—with a team of warm, knowledgeable, and fun-loving guides.
“We’d love to talk about the trip you’re dreaming of. Let’s make your days on the flats everything you want them to be.”
— Lori-Ann Murphy
Why Fish the Flats of Ambergris Caye?
Because there’s nothing like it. The crystal-clear shallows surrounding Ambergris Caye are a fly fishing and light spin paradise—home to bonefish, tarpon, permit, and snook. Whether you’re hunting your first Grand Slam or just soaking in the thrill of a tailing bonefish, these flats deliver action, beauty, and heart-pounding moments. It’s sight fishing at its finest.
Why Fish with Reel Belize?
Because your trip should be as unforgettable as the fish you chase. At Reel Belize, we build custom adventures that match your style—whether you’re an experienced angler or just getting started. Led by fly fishing trailblazer Lori-Ann Murphy, our team combines deep local knowledge, expert instruction, and a passion for putting you on fish. Our Belizean guides are fun, skilled, and dialed into the tides, weather, and where the fish are feeding right now.
Why San Pedro?
Because it’s more than a fishing town—it’s a vibe. After a day on the water, kick back with fresh ceviche, grilled lobster, or a plate of rice and beans with stewed chicken, Belizean-style. Explore the island by golf cart, snorkel a reef, or dance under the stars. San Pedro is where fishing adventure meets island soul.
Let’s plan the trip you’ve been dreaming about.
